The Applications Development Engineer will perform field engineering related to PVD semiconductor thin film technology, including data collection, problem-solving, and developing new processes. Responsibilities also include advising teams and writing technical reports, with a significant amount of international travel involved.

Support manufacturing, integration, and sustaining of high-voltage power supply subsystems. Troubleshoot HV issues, perform validation and qualification testing, drive root-cause resolution, manage supplier interfaces, support ECO/ECN and product sustaining, and ensure HV safety compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve yield and reliability.

Perform system integration, testing, characterization, and validation for semiconductor metrology products. Lead system-level troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, experiments, DOE/ANOVA studies, and performance evaluations. Collaborate with hardware, software, algorithm, and applications teams; support manufacturing builds, customer installations, qualification, and field investigations. Develop troubleshooting methodologies, test procedures, and technical documentation.

Drive end-to-end visibility and execution across critical suppliers and sub-tier ecosystems. Identify and resolve supply bottlenecks, own escalations, coordinate cross-functional recovery plans, support ramp readiness, develop dashboards and metrics, and build longer-term multi-tier visibility and resilience through process improvements and supplier engagement.

Drive multi-tier supply chain visibility and resolution for critical sub-tier suppliers. Track demand vs. supply, lead debottlenecking and escalation, coordinate cross-functional recovery plans, support ramp readiness, and build dashboards and playbooks to improve supplier resilience and response times.

Manage multi-tier/sub-tier supplier visibility and capacity, identify and resolve supply bottlenecks, own supplier escalations, coordinate cross-functional supply strategy, support ramp and demand surges, and produce dashboards and reports to improve supply assurance and resilience.

Drive and coordinate master scheduling and demand-versus-supply planning (8-12 quarters), present plans at MS meetings, analyze forecast impacts on orders and materials, collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Finance and Logistics to optimize build plans, maintain MRP loading accuracy with config analysts, and develop key performance metrics.
