The role also supports governance processes and improves templates, workflows, playbooks, and operational practices.

Leads complex university intellectual property commercialization transactions, including licensing, assignments, options, technology transfers, and strategic partnerships. Evaluates commercialization opportunities, structures economic terms, negotiates agreements, supports governance and execution, advises stakeholders, and improves transaction frameworks. Provides coaching and technical leadership to transaction professionals while balancing commercial objectives, fair market value, stewardship obligations, and institutional interests.

Manage operational integrity of three grant streams (De-GAP, Central GAP, TDA): track budgets, claims, procurement, milestones and reporting; lead weekly operating cadence; maintain dashboards; manage audits; map and translate manual workflows into requirements for an AI-driven grant management solution; support new programme reviews for compliance and financial sustainability; coordinate across PIs, finance, procurement and vendors.

Guide and mentor deep-tech startup teams from concept to launch, scout and source university technologies, align research with market needs, support fundraising, hiring and partnerships, and collaborate with NUS Enterprise to scale ventures.

Manage the PIER71 Landing Pad start-up program: design offerings, measure outcomes, build community engagement, manage contributor relationships, support onboarding/offboarding, and develop regional partnerships across the Americas to support market entry and expansion.
