Role Overview

We are looking for a highly capable Technical Project Manager with strong Data Project experience to lead and manage end-to-end delivery of enterprise data initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of data platforms, analytics, reporting, and cloud-based data transformation projects, along with strong stakeholder management and project execution capabilities.

This role requires someone who can effectively bridge the gap between business, data engineering, analytics, and leadership teams, ensuring successful delivery of data-driven transformation initiatives.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management & Delivery
  • Lead end-to-end project management for data and analytics initiatives from planning through execution, testing, deployment, and closure.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, budgets, and resource planning across multiple workstreams.
  • Define and track project milestones, deliverables, RAID logs, and status reports to ensure timely execution.
  • Drive project governance, steering committee updates, and regular stakeholder reporting.
  • Ensure successful delivery of projects within agreed scope, time, cost, and quality parameters.
Data & Technical Project Oversight
  • Manage delivery of projects involving data ingestion, transformation, warehousing, reporting, and analytics.
  • Work closely with Data Engineers, BI Developers, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Oversee projects involving tools and technologies such as:
    • Snowflake
    • Power BI
    • SQL
    • Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Understand data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, reporting dashboards, and data integration frameworks to effectively manage technical discussions and delivery.
Stakeholder & Communication Management
  • Act as the primary point of contact between business users, IT teams, vendors, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into clear project plans and actionable technical deliverables.
  • Facilitate workshops, requirement discussions, sprint planning, project reviews, and executive updates.
  • Communicate project progress, blockers, and risks effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Planning, Risk & Governance
  • Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies early and drive mitigation plans proactively.
  • Ensure proper project governance, documentation, change control, and decision tracking.
  • Support project planning, estimations, prioritization, and release coordination.
  • Monitor and improve project execution standards, delivery discipline, and PM best practices.
Business & Analytical Support
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate project requirements and delivery challenges.
  • Support business teams in understanding data-related requirements, reporting needs, and transformation opportunities.
  • Drive alignment between business goals and technical implementation.
Required Skills & ExperienceMust-Have Skills
  • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager / Data Project Manager delivering enterprise-scale data projects.
  • Strong experience in end-to-end project lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on understanding / strong working knowledge of:
    • Snowflake
    • Power BI
    • SQL
    • Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Data warehousing concepts
    • ETL / ELT pipelines
    • Data transformation and integration
    • Reporting and dashboarding projects
  • Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
  • Exposure to Azure cloud ecosystem and enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience in business intelligence, data migration, or data transformation programs.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Azure DevOps, or similar project management tools.
  • Experience in banking, financial services, insurance, healthcare, or enterprise transformation environments is an added advantage.
