EXECUTIVE ENGINEER / ENGINEER (BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS)

[What you will be working on]

As part of the Business Requirements team, you will analyse and establish the users’ requirement for Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system used by commuters and public transport operators of buses and MRT/LRT.

With the implementation of Account-Based Ticketing which allows commuters to pay for public transport fares using credit and debit cards, you will get to understand how the new payment modes are implemented at the bus and rail ticketing systems and have many opportunities to put in place requirements to fulfil more and evolving user needs.

You will work with various stakeholders from within and outside the organization to deliberate on and rationalize through the business and operational needs, to make these into requirements that could be feasibly and sustainably implemented at the system. You will fit well into this job if you are a people person who likes to interact, think, and write systematically, and able to communicate clearly to explain the requirements to different target groups.

[What we are looking for]

• Background knowledge in Information Technology or Engineering

• Understanding of system implementation lifecycle with preferably at least 1 project analysing project requirements;

• Savviness with technology and daring to try innovative solutions;

• Good written and verbal communication skills;

• Able to work well both independently as well as in a team;

•  Internships in payment systems or Automatic Fare Collection systems using Smart Cards would be an advantage

As part of the shortlisting process for the role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and / or undergo further assessment.
