About the Role

As a Data Engineer in our Data & Analytics team (Singapore), you’ll own the data infrastructure that supports business reporting, multi-market analytics, and — increasingly — AI agents and AI-powered data products. You’ll work alongside a small high-trust team driving customer service automation that’s live in production and handling thousands of tickets monthly, customer-facing AI features launching this year, and AI-assisted analytics tooling for internal teams. You’ll also work closely with our Product & Engineering counterparts on data-dependent app features.

You Will

  • Design, build and operate data pipelines (ETL/ELT), meeting SLAs across SG, TH, AU and our launching markets
  • Be the custodian of data quality and reliable delivery — define monitoring, alerting, and remediation patterns for both human-consumed analytics AND AI-agent-consumed contexts
  • Partner with our AI / data product builders across customer service automation, customer-facing AI features, internal analytics agents, and future fraud-detection workloads — exposing well-modeled, well-governed data and agent-accessible interfaces
  • Continuously improve infrastructure stability, observability and cost efficiency
  • Strengthen data governance, PII handling, and audit readiness for MAS and regional regulators
  • Bring AI-assisted engineering into the daily workflow

Requirements

You Are

  • Data Expert Enthusiast — 2-4 years in Data Engineering (pipelines, architecture, modeling). Strong SQL and Python. Comfortable with cloud-native data tooling (BigQuery, Matillion, dbt, Airflow or equivalent). Familiarity with AI/ML data workflows, vector stores, or retrieval pipelines is a plus.
  • Quality Goalkeeper — Highly efficient, independent, with strong priority management. You take pride in pipeline reliability and data integrity, and you design for graceful failure.
  • Resourceful Adventurer — Comfortable exploring new technologies — especially in the AI / agent space. You enjoy partnering with diverse stakeholders to surface needs and unblock them.
  • Curious Detective — Experienced in root-cause analysis on pipeline issues. You challenge the status quo and instinctively look for the next improvement.
  • AI-curious engineer — You’re open to bringing AI tools into your engineering workflow, or genuinely excited to ramp up on them. We use AI assistance daily across the team and you’ll have plenty of support to get up to speed.
  • Travel enthusiast — A genuine passion for travel and an understanding of overseas spending behavior helps you think like our users.

Nice to have

  • FinTech regulatory data experience (MAS or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting LLM/AI agent infrastructure (RAG, vector indexes, agent observability, evaluation pipelines)

What You can Expect from Us

  • A free hand to innovate and ship — minimal layers, fast decisions
  • Building data infrastructure for one of Southeast Asia’s most-loved travel fintechs
  • Direct report to the Data & Analytics Team Lead
  • Deep collaboration with technical and business experts across SG and the region
  • Working on data + AI products that ship to real customers across multiple markets
