Job Description
The Value Measurement Office (VMO) is the Bank's central governance and coordination function responsible for measuring, validating, governing and reporting the economic value generated from AI, Data and Digital investments. The VMO also supports AI ROI management, investment governance, benefits realization and Operational Risk value measurement to enable more informed investment decisions and enterprise-wide value optimization.
Reporting to the VMO Lead, this role plays a key role in shaping and operationalizing the Bank's enterprise value realization capability for AI, Data and Digital investments. The incumbent will partner across Business, Finance, Risk and Technology functions to establish robust measurement, ROI and governance practices, enabling transparent reporting of business outcomes and supporting data-driven investment decisions.
Enterprise Value Measurement, ROI & Attribution
Operationalize the Bank's enterprise AI & Data Value Measurement Framework across AI, Data, Digital and emerging technology use cases.
Support Business Units in defining value charters, business outcomes, baselines, KPIs and measurable financial benefits.
Guide stakeholders in selecting appropriate measurements, attribution and validation methodologies to estimate economic value in a defensible, auditable and repeatable manner.
Review and approve Use Case Charters, assessing the quality of problem statements, experiment design, KPI selection, ROI assumptions and measurement approaches.
Verify source data, assumptions and inputs used in value calculations to ensure reported outcomes can be substantiated and withstand management, audit and regulatory scrutiny.
Support the operationalization of AI & Data ROI methodologies by linking investment decisions, adoption outcomes, realized benefits and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) into a measurable investment performance framework.
Partner with Business Units, Technology and Finance teams to assess realised value against approved business cases, benefits assumptions and investment objectives.
Analyze value realization trends, cost-to-value performance and investment outcomes to identify optimization opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
Validation & Governance
Partner with Business and Group Finance teams to validate assumptions, baselines, attribution logic and measurement outcomes.
Support the application of confidence ratings based on data quality, controls, evidencing standards and repeatability of measurement.
Independently validate outputs, variables and attribution methodologies; conduct sample-based reviews and stress testing of inputs to confirm that measurement approaches have been executed satisfactorily.
Administer and verify allocation logic, attribution methodologies and double-counting controls across use cases and value streams.
Review and challenge business assumptions, financial inputs and benefit calculations to ensure alignment with approved methodologies and enterprise governance standards.
Mediate attribution disputes between Business Units, facilitating resolution in a fair, transparent and evidence-based manner.
Support the development, maintenance and continuous enhancement of SOPs, governance procedures and operating standards related to value measurement, ROI assessment and benefits realization.
Operational Risk Value Measurement & Risk Analytics
Support the operationalization of enterprise Operational Risk value measurement methodologies for AI, Data and Digital use cases.
Partner with Risk, Compliance, Finance and Business stakeholders to quantify risk reduction, loss avoidance and control effectiveness generated through AI-enabled interventions.
Support the implementation and maintenance of approved Operational Risk methodologies, including Capital-at-Risk, risk exposure allocation, loss avoidance and other risk quantification approaches.
Collect, validate and analyse operational risk metrics, control effectiveness indicators and risk-related inputs used in value calculations.
Develop implementation guidance, documentation standards and governance controls to ensure consistency, traceability and auditability of risk-related value calculations.
Facilitate the integration of Operational Risk value measurements into enterprise reporting, ROI reporting and management decision-making.
Enterprise Value Reporting & Insights
Manage stakeholder expectations and communications with business partners throughout the reporting cycle, ensuring alignment and timely delivery of submissions.
Consolidate and maintain an enterprise view of AI & Data value, AI investment performance, operational risk value, adoption metrics and portfolio-level benefits realization.
Support senior management, PSC, MEC and Board reporting by translating detailed value calculations into concise, decision-relevant insights and recommendations. The PSC material highlights the need for investment decisions supported by value, cost and adoption insights.
Support investment governance activities by providing data-driven insights that inform prioritization, optimization, scale-up or retirement decisions for AI initiatives.
Ensure value and ROI reporting align with internal governance standards, annual reporting requirements and evolving regulatory expectations relating to AI transparency, risk management and accountability.
Enterprise Value Measurement Adoption & Continuous Improvement
Act as a subject matter expert on enterprise value measurement, ROI management and value realization methodologies, providing guidance and enablement to Business and Support Units.
Drive adoption of consistent measurement practices across Business Units, Group Functions and regional markets.
Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes, automate calculations, reduce operational burden and improve measurement consistency.
Partner with Technology & Data teams to develop enterprise tooling, dashboards and workflow solutions supporting value measurement, ROI reporting and governance processes.
Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the enterprise value measurement approach to support broader applications including ROI Management, portfolio optimization, Operational Risk measurement and enterprise investment governance.
Innovation and Transformation
Stay informed on emerging innovation trends, practices, and tools, and support the team with research and insights.
Assist in identifying and supporting the integration of innovative ideas and solutions that contribute to organizational growth and capability building.
Support end to end project delivery, including innovation programs, capability enablement activities, partnerships, and strategic pilots.
Help develop and maintain project plans covering scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resources.
Track project progress, support coordination across stakeholders, and assist in monitoring delivery against agreed outcomes and KPIs.
Prepare project documentation, updates, and presentation materials to support governance, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
Qualifications/Requirements
8-10 years of experience in Banking, Finance, Risk Management, Strategy, Transformation, Performance Management, or Financial Services Consulting, with demonstrated experience in value realisation, ROI assessment, investment governance, benefits tracking, or risk analytics.
Strong understanding of financial evaluation and business case methodologies, including ROI, NPV, IRR, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), benefits realization and performance measurement.
Knowledge of operational risk, enterprise risk management, Basel frameworks, capital allocation, risk quantification or risk reporting practices is advantageous.
Experience partnering with senior stakeholders across Business, Finance, Risk and Technology functions to drive strategic initiatives and governance outcomes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear business insights.
Effective communicator with experience preparing and presenting recommendations to senior leadership, executive committees and governance forums.
Self-driven, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Prior experience in banking or management consulting will be an advantage, particularly in business performance management, transformation, governance, value measurement or benefits realization.
Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Risk Management or a related discipline.
