Context of the role

The VP of Business Development will identify, negotiate and close new customers across the region, as a strong individual contributor. The right candidate will be target driven, with a passion and sense of ownership to deliver against target. This will be a hands-on role with deep involvement in execution, leading from the front.  

Thunes is scaling fast rapidly across APAC and we’re looking for elite hunters to open new markets and close transformational deals. If you love building, thrive on delivering big deals, and want to sell a product that actually moves money globally in real-time, this is your opportunity!

What you’ll do

  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle -  prospect, pitch, negotiate, close, and activate
  • Build and convert a high-quality pipeline of fintechs, banks, PSPs, and digital platforms
  • Open new markets, landing strategic logos and unlocking revenue fast
  • Drive senior-level conversations with founders, C-suite, and product teams
  • Collaborate with internal teams to execute seamless go-lives and expand accounts

What you’ll bring

  • 8+ years in B2B payment sales, proven hunter DNA across APAC
  • Strong network across PSPs, fintechs, banks, wallets, e-commerce players
  • Track record of exceeding targets and closing complex commercial deals
  • Execution-first mindset - proactive, resilient, self-driven, hands-on
  • Fluent in English; other languages welcome
