As the APAC Tax Leader you will be a foundational member of our global tax team and the primary tax expert for the Asia-Pacific region. Based in our Singapore hub, you will be instrumental in shaping our tax strategy to support our rapid expansion across Southeast Asia. This role requires a strategic mindset to navigate the complex tax landscape of new markets, combined with hands-on expertise to implement and manage EBANX's global transfer pricing policies and ensure full compliance.

You will partner closely with our Product, Legal, Regulatory, Finance, and Commercial teams to provide critical tax guidance that enables smart, sustainable business decisions.

Your day-to-day impact:

Tax Strategy & Regional Expansion:

  • Lead tax due diligence and analysis for EBANX's entry into new markets across Southeast Asia and partner with other various senior leaders or our global tax team.
  • Advise on tax-efficient legal entity structures and business models to support our regional growth objectives.
  • Provide strategic tax guidance to business and product teams on the implications of new initiatives and offerings.
  • Monitor and interpret new and proposed tax legislation across the region to identify potential impacts, risks, and opportunities.

Transfer Pricing:

  • Implement, manage, and maintain the group's transfer pricing policies for all entities within the APAC region.
  • Prepare and manage all required transfer pricing documentation (e.g., Local File, Master File support) to ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Analyze intercompany transactions to ensure they are conducted at arm's length and are properly documented.
  • Collaborate with the global finance team on the execution of the transfer pricing model.

Tax Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Oversee and manage direct (corporate income tax) and indirect (GST/VAT) tax compliance for all entities in the region, working with external advisors as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for and manage any tax audits or queries from local tax authorities.
  • Manage relationships with external tax consultants and advisors to ensure high-quality and efficient service.
Must-haves to shine in this role:
  • 7+ years of relevant corporate and international tax experience, preferably from a combination of a Big 4 accounting firm and an in-house role at a multinational company.
  • Strong, hands-on experience in international tax, with a deep specialization in transfer pricing principles and documentation.
  • In-depth knowledge of Singaporean corporate and indirect tax laws. 
  • Proven experience in providing tax advice for M&A, corporate restructuring, or market expansion projects.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
Bonus points if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field. A professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, Advanced Tax Diploma) it is also a differentiator.
  • Prior in-house experience in fintechs or technology companies
  • Experience with tax regimes in other Southeast Asian jurisdictions.
