Zendesk is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Agent Workspace Messaging Team in Singapore. You'll help build a next-generation messaging platform that empowers customers to deliver exceptional user experiences, working toward an omni-channel customer engagement product.
You will work with a diverse team of skilled engineers developing a highly-responsive web application. You'll learn about well-structured web frontend architecture and backend services while partnering with product and UX teams to improve workflows and develop new features.
What you'll doContribute to the everyday development of Zendesk's product suite
Improve system quality by identifying issues and developing standard operating procedures
Enhance applications by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions
Maintain and improve existing codebases and conduct peer code reviews
Collaborate with colleagues to implement technical designs
Investigate and adopt new technologies where relevant
Create written knowledge transfer materials
Proven software engineering experience with capabilities in Java, Python, Ruby, or Go
Working knowledge of JavaScript, Node.JS, and React
Functional understanding of web technologies and frontend-backend interactions
Good command of data structures and algorithms
Passion for solving real-world problems with a customer-first mindset
Personal projects, open-source contributions, or active learning initiatives are a plus
Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
