- Lead the development of a world class manufacturing organization that embraces continuous improvement initiatives and accountable to deliver to company and customer expectations
- Provide leadership to a multi-functional team in line with Corporate, BEs and Functional strategies and core processes (PQP and AOP)
- Responsible for operating the site in compliance with applicable regulations and standards such as ISO 9001, ISO13485 and ISO14001.
- Ensure the execution of plans for timely order fulfillment, capacity planning (mini SIOP and Supply Reviews), profitability and productivity improvement, quality improvement and the retention/development of talent
- Responsible for capital expenditures and budget recommendations for manufacturing operations
- Participate in the planning and scheduling of the instrument and service part build plan and material flow together with the planning team
- Review and resolve production and operational problems related to output, quality, yield, delivery and cost
- Participate in the AOP process and review and control operation matrices
- Participate in employee recruitment, developmental and motivational activities to improve morale and performance
- Ensure compliance to regulatory and company quality and safety management systems
- Manage budget execution with a focus on margins and product costs. Has primary management responsibility for all manufacturing and material expenses
- Identify opportunities for product and manufacturing rationalization and /or low cost sourcing/outsourcing that enhance manufacturing and business performance
- Lead the development of scalable and robust processes for the smooth running of manufacturing operations. Processes should be well documented and controlled
- Evaluate the results of manufacturing regularly and communicate with appropriate stakeholders to facilitate effective planning and decision-making
- Create a working environment that promotes PerkinElmer Core Values and supports employee growth through communication, training, rewards and recognition
- Continuously improve product quality, performance, productivity, delivery and cost performance
- Contribute to new product transfers and start-up activities by planning and executing facilities and production resources
- Ensure highest standards of safety and environmental control within the factory by implementing and controlling safety and environmental activities
- Participate in other activities and projects as assigned
