In this role, you’ll work closely with leaders to shape sound people decisions, navigate complexity, and strengthen organizational effectiveness-making a tangible impact on both the business and employee experience.
Where You’ll Make a Difference
The Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) is an advisory, employee-facing role that partners closely with all Business Units people leaders based or with teams in Singapore, providing expert guidance across HR processes and local labor requirements.
1. Strategic Business Partnership
- Act as a Singapore-based connector between local and regional leaders, by working as a trusted advisor and thought partner on people management related matters, aligned with global HR frameworks and relevant local regulations.
- Serve as a sounding board for leaders on employee relations and other sensitive topics, bringing perspective and guiding seamless execution.
- Coach leaders through complex people’s decisions, balancing business priorities, employee experience, and risk considerations. Advise leaders on managing and navigating change.
- Participate in business and leadership forums and planning discussions, contributing insights grounded in fact-based data, trends, and business understanding.
- Support adoption of new HR ways of working by clarifying roles between People Services, BU HR, COEs, and Shared Services.
2. Talent lifecycle
- Advise leaders on the application of HR frameworks (Talent, Learning, Total Rewards, TA) and policies, and country requirements, ensuring alignment with global standards while reflecting local context.
- Advise leaders during performance management and talent development discussions.
- Partner with HR COEs to interpret outputs and guide leaders on decision-making implications and actions aiming team effectiveness
- Support leaders in hiring decisions by advising on role design, internal mobility, and talent risks, while Talent Acquisition owns the process execution.
- Ensure high quality onboarding and integration of new hires, reinforcing IFF culture.
- Analyze data and proactively provide insights and recommendations to address retention risks and other gaps related to hiring, stay interviews, attrition, and engagement.
- Identify recurring friction points from both employee and leader experience perspective and provide input for continuous improvement of HR Operating Model
3. Employee Relations
- Advise leaders on employee relations matters, performance concerns, and conduct issues, ensuring consistency with HR policies and local requirements.
- Apply sound judgment to assess complexity and risk, escalating cases appropriately to People Services Regional Leadership, Legal, among other stakeholders.
- Conduct or partner with colleagues on investigations and formal disciplinary actions.
- Reinforce fair, consistent, and transparent application of HR policies by contributing to crisis mgmt. and risk mitigation at local level.
- Provide local perspective to regional or global initiatives, impacting the country. Protect global standards; route exceptions following governance guidelines.
What Makes You the Right Fit
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience in matrix or global environments.
- Proven background in business partnering, employee relations, and HR Services delivery in a Shared Services HR model.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end HR processes and solid knowledge of local labor procedures and employment regulations.
- Data driven to service quality and continuous improvement.
- Undergrad degree in Business Admin., Psychology, HR or any other related field.
- Fluent English required, additional languages a strong advantage.
