This role will be responsible for managing financial crime compliance activities, including transaction monitoring, suspicious transaction investigations, regulatory reporting, and handling law enforcement requests. The role ensures compliance with AML/CFT regulations, internal policies, and risk management standards.
Position Responsibilities:
- Review and investigate transaction monitoring alerts and suspicious activities.
- Assess and manage Suspicious Transaction Alerts (STA).
- Prepare and file Suspicious Transaction Reports (STR) with regulatory authorities.
- Handle responses to law enforcement and regulatory requests (e.g. Production Orders)
- Conduct customer due diligence reviews, including enhanced due diligence for higher-risk customers.
- Review and assess Source of Wealth (SOW) and Source of Funds (SOF) documentation.
- Provide guidance on AML/CFT and financial crime compliance matters.
- Support audits, regulatory reviews, and process improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Law, Risk Management, or related discipline
- 5–7 years of experience in Financial Crime Compliance, AML/CFT, Compliance, or Financial Crime Investigations.
Hands-on experience in:
- Transaction Monitoring
- Suspicious Transaction Alert (STA) investigations
- Suspicious Transaction Report (STR) filing
- Police Orders and Protection Orders handling
- Regulatory reporting
- Experience in insurance, banking, wealth management, or financial services preferred.
- Experience in High Net Worth (HNW) reviews and Source of Wealth (SOW) reviews will be advantageous.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, ICA) are a plus.
