About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Consultant to join our Insurance Practice, bringing deep knowledge in the insurance industry and a track record of delivering high-impact consulting engagements across the region. This is a client-facing, delivery-focused role suited for individuals who combine strong insurance domain knowledge with the structured problem-solving and communication skills of a seasoned consultant. You will lead workstreams on complex engagements spanning life, non-life, and reinsurance clients across Southeast Asia, working closely with clients on strategic, operational, and digital transformation challenges. Beyond delivery, you will play an active role in market research, thought leadership, and mentoring junior team members.                         
                                                                                                    
Responsibilities:
Business consulting & Analysis
  • Lead end-to-end business analysis on client engagements, including requirements gathering, current-state assessment, gap analysis, and solution design
  • Drive delivery of functional specifications, process maps, user stories, and other project artefacts to a high standard of quality
  • Apply deep insurance domain knowledge to diagnose client problems, challenge assumptions, and develop well-grounded recommendations across areas such as underwriting, claims, policy administration, distribution, or finance
  • Support and guide clients through digital and operational transformation, translating business needs into actionable solutions
Project Execution & Coordination
  • Own and manage workstream delivery, including planning, risks and dependencies, milestones and coordination across client and internal teams
  • Engage confidently with senior client stakeholders, across in workshops, steering committees, and day-to-day advisory interactions
  • Ensure quality assurance across project activities ensuring issues are tracked and resolved effectively
Market Insights & Business Development
  • Contribute meaningfully to proposal development, including solutioning, scoping, and commercial framing
  • Lead or support development of market insights, benchmarking analyses, and thought leadership relevant to the Southeast Asian insurance landscape
  • Help build the firm's insurance intellectual capital and point of view on key industry trends 
  • Mentor and develop analysts and junior consultants on the team, supporting their growth in both domain knowledge and consulting craft
Requirements:
  • Degree from a recognized university, preferably in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computing or a related field. Candidates from other disciplines with strong analytical skills are also encouraged to apply.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in management consulting with insurance clients, or in-house at an insurer or reinsurer in a business, operations, or transformation role
  • Solid understanding of the regional insurance market, business environment, competition landscape, and operational practices
  • Experience leading or significantly contributing to consulting engagements or internal transformation projects, including stakeholder management and structured delivery
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to structure complex problems, synthesize insights, and develop clear recommendations
  • Strong communication skills in written and spoken English will be useful for engaging confidently with senior audiences
  • Prior exposure to insurance initiatives could be an advantage such as:
    • Functional knowledge in one or more insurance domains such as underwriting, claims, policy administration, actuarial, or distribution
    • Hands-on experience with technology-led insurance initiatives such as core system implementations, digital distribution or customer portals, workflow automation, data analytics or BI
    • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to SEA markets
  • Proficiency in additional languages would be an advantage in supporting communication and collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
