The successful applicant will join the Advanced Cell Culture Solutions team in the development of new cell culture ingredients for cell therapy. He/She will work closely with a team of project managers and scientists on proof-of-concept and product development. He/She will participate actively in projects and collaborations with internal and external partners. Key responsibilities include literature review, designing and performing R&D to support project objectives as well as preparation of progress reports for stakeholder communication. Other responsibilities include procurement of general laboratory supplies, management of inventory and lab tidiness. This is a one-year contract position.
REQUIREMENTS
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Bioengineering, Biotechnology or similar fields.
Experience in mammalian cell culture is a pre-requisite. Experience in cell analytics and assays (such as flow cytometry, fluorescence imaging and ELISA), as well as Python programing would be an added advantage.
Knowledge of basic mammalian cell biology and biochemistry. Familiarity with physiology, immunology, molecular biology, bioengineering and/or material science would be an added advantage.
Proficiency in experimental design, data collection, data analysis and data visualization/presentation
Experience in a laboratory environment and familiarity with safety practices, standard operating procedures and experimental protocols.
Able to work independently and in a team
Be highly motivated in mastering new knowledge domains, techniques and approaches. Be enthusiastic in generating new ideas to advance project goals
Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication abilities
