Who we’re looking for
The Senior Relationship Manager, Wealth Management focuses on acquiring, advising and growing relationships with HNW/UHNW international clients, including expatriates based in Singapore and UK-connected clients with cross-border wealth needs. The expatriate client segment is not limited to UK expatriates and includes internationally mobile clients of different nationalities, residence profiles and cross-border wealth needs. The role requires a strong private banking and wealth advisory background, with the ability to deliver holistic investment and wealth management solutions while navigating cross-border considerations, suitability requirements, and client-specific tax, residence and structuring sensitivities. A core requirement is a practical understanding of the UK tax regime, UK tax law, and the different tax structures relevant to internationally mobile clients, including income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, residence and domicile considerations, trusts, offshore structures and wealth planning implications.

Market Coverage
•    Primary coverage of expatriate HNW/UHNW clients living in Singapore as part of broader international client coverage, including internationally mobile professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners, family offices and families with multi-jurisdictional wealth needs.
•    Expatriate coverage in Singapore is not restricted to UK expatriates and should extend to international clients across different nationalities, residence profiles, wealth origins and cross-border planning requirements.
•    Coverage of UK-domiciled, UK-resident, former UK resident, returning UK resident and UK-connected clients who require wealth advisory support across Singapore, the UK and other relevant jurisdictions.
•    Focus on clients with UK tax exposure, UK situs assets, UK-linked family wealth, offshore structures, trusts, succession planning needs or relocation considerations involving Singapore and the UK.
•    Ability to work closely with internal investment specialists and external tax/legal advisers to ensure clients receive coordinated, compliant and holistic wealth management guidance.

What you'll do
•    Source, prospect and onboard HNW/UHNW expatriate, international and UK-connected clients through own networks, referrals, intermediaries and targeted business development.
•    Build, retain and grow a sustainable client book across expatriates in Singapore, international clients and UK-domiciled or UK-connected clients with cross-border wealth needs.
•    Represent Schroders’ brand externally through client meetings, market events and professional forums, while following up on referral opportunities.
•    Conduct detailed client discovery covering objectives, residence and domicile status, tax exposure, liquidity needs, family circumstances, succession priorities, constraints and risk appetite.
•    Provide tailored investment advisory, portfolio and wealth management solutions across relevant asset classes, mandates and platform offerings, ensuring appropriateness and suitability.
•    Present timely investment ideas and translate UK tax, residence, domicile, offshore structure, trust and cross-border considerations into practical portfolio and wealth planning discussions.
•    Partner with Investment, Product, Treasury, Wealth Planning and other specialists to deliver discretionary/advisory mandates, funds, structured solutions, alternatives, lending, wrappers and trust-related planning support where applicable.
•    Perform regular portfolio reviews and risk profile refreshes, proactively addressing changes in client circumstances, markets or portfolio performance.
•    Maintain strict compliance with regulatory and internal requirements, including suitability, fair dealing, cross-border rules, tax transparency, AML/CFT, sanctions, source-of-wealth/source-of-funds checks, documentation and escalation of issues.
•    Maintain disciplined pipeline reporting, support team coverage, collaborate with stakeholders and advisers, execute client engagement activities, and share client feedback or market intelligence to enhance the proposition.

Required knowledge, experience and qualifications
•    Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in wealth management, private banking, investment advisory and/or relationship management, with a proven track record covering HNW/UHNW expatriate, international and UK-connected clients.
•    Recognised university degree and relevant Singapore wealth management advisory licences/certifications, including CACS certification and applicable CMFAS modules.
•    Strong ability to originate, acquire, retain and grow client relationships, with demonstrated revenue generation and asset growth.
•    Strong coverage experience with expatriate clients in Singapore and/or UK-domiciled, UK-resident, returning UK resident or UK-connected clients with cross-border wealth management needs.
•    Practical understanding of UK private client tax considerations, including residence/domicile, income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, UK situs assets, offshore structures and common wealth planning approaches.
•    Able to recognise when specialist tax or legal advice is required and coordinate effectively with qualified advisers while staying within appropriate advisory boundaries.

Additional knowledge and experience that will help
•    Strong understanding of capital markets, investment products, portfolio construction and tax-aware investment structuring for internationally mobile clients.
•    Good awareness of UK tax regime developments affecting non-UK domiciled and internationally mobile clients.
•    Strong understanding of suitability, fair dealing, cross-border rules and AML/CFT requirements in a regulated wealth management environment.
