Introduction:
As a Principal Specialist, you will be assisting to shapes the team vision, roadmap and steers the team in the delivering in minimum viable product (MVP). You are responsible for driving value in data science products that will address the most complex commercial and operational challenges. You own the product end-to-end from identification and prioritization of problems to communication of end results within the business and measuring the business value of results. You work in a cross-functional role, acting as a bridge between technical and business roles.
Your Job:
- Work closely with product users, engineering, operations, GFIT, and all required stakeholders to translate their needs or challenges into machine learning or statistical problems.
- Define product goals and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop analytical frameworks, models, roadmaps, and metrics for the team and broader organization to measure product impact.
- Align and track project schedules, as well as facilitating release planning, sprints planning, and demos with stakeholders.
- Regularly reports status to stakeholders and ensures delivery according to schedule and budget.
- Track, compile, and control project-related documentation.
- Plan resourcing for the team (i.e. new role, change in role), create requests, and onboards members that join the pod.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and contribute to the evolution of our digital manufacturing capabilities.
- Bring in and drive team adoption of the best knowledge of digital project development and deployment.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in quantitative fields such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related Engineering degree.
- Around 8 years of hands-on experience in handling products in a digital manufacturing environment
- Complete and thorough understanding and expertise with Product Lifecycle Management
- Adept in developing product frameworks
- Intermediate to advanced level understanding of Project Management and related processes
- Good in resource management, with a special focus on critical resource planning
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s in data science, computer science or other quantitative field.
