Key Responsibilities
Own and drive, proforma and performance for assigned services in terms of service delivery and bunker consumption
To ensure that vessels in the fleet are operated efficiently, whilst managing and lowering operating costs
Ensure that relevant systems are properly updated, and proper notification of intended and realistic schedules are made available to all relevant parties
Own Proforma, manage Vessel Schedules and Bunker Consumption
Understand and own the proforma schedule of the assigned service including service drivers, schedule risks, port limitations, operational costs
Own and improve service & vessel schedule reliability, anticipate delays and initiating plans to mitigate same
Manage day-to-day vessel operations and ensure vessels, local agents and/or terminals are given proper instructions and are performing as required
Be accountable on bunker consumption for assigned services with a mindset to beat the proforma consumption and cost
Operate Vessels Efficiently at Lowest Operating Costs
Identify and raise issues on vessel performance on assigned service and raise through proper channel
Full ownership of port- and vessel-related incidents, consistent follow-through, and handle communication of schedule and cost implications, and recovery plans
Participate in the network change process by evaluating proforma and service requirements
Ensure proper accounting for off-hire and charter-related costs during vessel in fleet
System Updates & Stakeholder Communication
Ensure relevant systems are updated and communicated with the most realistic schedules in a timely manner to all relevant stakeholders
Propose, implement, and communicate contingency plans, and assist in maintaining the standard service contingency template for assigned services
Oversee the phase-in and phase-out activities of vessels in assigned service
Process Improvement
Conducts reviews of marine operations/scenarios to assess and address areas of improvement.
Identifies and suggest continuous improvement possibilities in the ways of working.
General Tasks
Maintains positive & productive communication with stakeholders.
Who we are looking for
Welcoming fresh graduates from a Maritime background, or candidates with 1–2 years of relevant experience
Proactive and result-driven, can implement contingencies and make fast (informed) decisions
Can deal with ambiguity and eliminate complexities in an operational scenario
Able to multi-task well, and with a process improvement mindset
Someone with excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
Stakeholder management, able to work with colleagues from different backgrounds and influence decision making
