We are looking for a Key Account Manager to join our company. 

The Key Account Manager will deliver sales growth as per agreed targets for legacy products. They will deliver sales growth through hunting new business with existing customers as well as finding new customers. The successful individual will facilitate sales growth for non-legacy products, also align customer needs through close collaboration with relevant teams.

Supplying marine consumables, products, and solutions to every conceivable vessel type, our Marine Products division includes the Unitor brand of products, Timm ropes, Unicool refrigerants, and Unitor and Nalfleet marine chemicals. Last year we made product deliveries to 27,500 vessels, at over 2,000 ports. 

 

Who you will report to: 

This position reports to Sales Manager. The role requires close cooperation with the respective teams and stakeholders. 

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Drive profitable sales growth on from current and new customers within your portfolio for legacy products  

  • Facilitate and support sales teams in achieving their sales targets for non-legacy products  

  • Build the sales pipeline to hit the targets as specified based on quality opportunities on existing accounts  

  • Foster strong relationships with the customers through high quality and frequent customer face to face meetings.  

  • Work closely, align with (building team spirit) with and hand-over to internal stakeholders to drive growth and process compliance  

  • Seek out, develop and maintain multilevel entry points and relationships with own accounts 

  • Be a door opener for non-legacy products sales teams  

  • Secure full compliance with sales governance and risk management for own portfolio  

  • Ensure accurate and updated information on own accounts in CRM systems 

  • Ensure customer portfolio adhere to all terms, including credit, and that the deal generate optimal return through proactive contract management  

  • Ensure close collaboration with the Credit team, monitoring and taking corrective actions when needed  

What you need to be successful in this role: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent marine qualification preferred.  

  • Preferably international sales experience in technical sales  

  • Sailing or other maritime engineering experience is preferred  

  • Results oriented and with demonstrated achievements in sales  

  • Proven track record when it comes to sales growth  

  • Experience from negotiating with customers  

  • Preferably experience from leading a team in an international environment  

  • Proven track record of establishing and maintaining relationships with customers  

 

What we are looking for: 

  • Ability to work independently by planning and organizing own work  

  • Ambitious and a strong desire for success with a commercial mindset  

  • Able to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities  

  • IT literate/digital savviness, with experience from working with excel, MS office, CRM systems etc.  

  • Highly structured  

  • Proven communication skills and a good command of the English language (verbal and written)  

  • Good time management & allocation of priorities  

  • Ability to change and drive change  

  • Curiosity, learnability, adaptability and determination
