Support the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) department with digitalization efforts and daily activities, including plant project support and audits. Gain insights into waste-to-energy operations alongside engineers.

This role sits within the Infrastructure Division which offers exposure to one or more of the following: industrial safety awareness, attachment to our operating commercial plant(s), and selected commercial functions to appreciate the value chains of our businesses in renewables, clean energy, decarbonisation and environmental infrastructure. This role will also be involved in our application-driven innovation and digitalisation initiatives and programmes.
You will be responsible for the following:
• Support O&M department in terms of digitalization effort, i.e., GoArc, ePTW, daily operation processes.
• Involve in daily O&M activities to provide new insights and suggestion to improve and streamline the workflow.
• Shadow and support maintenance engineers to conduct boiler overhaul meeting, monitor and update the boiler overhaul activities progress, thus gaining project management skills.
• Conduct problem analysis and troubleshooting on plant processes.
• Support O&M in plant projects.
• Engage and support O&M in different audits, i.e., ISO50001, Energy Conservation Act, Carbon Pricing Act, ISO140001, ISO45001, ISO9001 etc.
• Engage in and support overseas WTE projects.
Learning Outcomes:
• Gain first-hand practical insights and experience to the operations and maintenance of a waste-to-energy plant. Opportunity for interns to apply the theoretical concepts learnt in their course curriculum to real-life scenarios.
• Work with highly experienced engineers and industry professionals on tasks, allowing for broadening of perspectives.
• Grasp operational and financial concerns and considerations when implementing new projects to an existing operational plant.
• Internalize and share key learnings to KI’s Management while bringing a fresh perspective on given discussion topics.JOB REQUIREMENTSJob Requirements:
• Undergraduate pursuing a degree in Engineering and possess interest in WTE/Environmental solution.
• Double degree is an advantage.
• Possess critical and logical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills .
• Team player and capable to show potential leadership.
• Independent worker, self-discipline.
