Job Summary:

Lead and oversees distribution center activities for some or all of the following processes: packing, shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, stock handling, storing, distribution and inventory management. Provides high quality, cost effective, and efficient service to meet current and future demands. Optimizes facilities utilization, process execution, and strictly adhere to internal policies, respective countries legal regulations and customs trade compliance. Provides oversight and direction for assigned employees, financial and operational activities.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Lead logistics operations team to achieve business targets and logistics KPI performance

  • Manages order fulfillment, meeting customer requirements and inspection/testing processes.  Collaborate with business team to ensure on time delivery.

  • Manages inventory through periodic and special inventory counts, reconciles discrepancies, and ensures accuracy including returns of defective materials.

  • Ensures documentation is complete, accurate and processed appropriately.

  • Plans, develops and/or implements quality assurance procedures. Evaluates quality deviations to determine cause, effect, and corrective measures. Surveys customers periodically regarding accuracy, quality, efficiency, adherence to specifications and overall customer experience.

  • Ensures work area is well maintained and in compliance with all ESG regulations and department policies including ESD requirements.

  • Ensures equipment are safe, preventive maintenance, functioning appropriately and calibrated to be in full compliance with required military, ISO and other quality standards. Participates in the evaluation, recommendation and implementation of new technology, new equipment or automations.

  • Participate in weekly S & OP meeting to plan current and future warehouse capacity, capability and resource planning.

  • Assesses productivity measures, identifies trends, and monitors department activity.

  • Identifies, investigates, and participates in opportunities to improve processes and procedures, to include various key performance metrics.

  • Manages and optimize freight cost, mitigate supply chain risk, consolidation and improve lead time to market

  • Manages external 3PL to ensure accurate and timely reporting, inventory management and customers on time delivery

  • Ensure 100% trade compliance according to each country’s regulations

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Level Specifications:

  • Provides leadership and direction through managers and senior managers. Accountable for the performance and results of a major function that has cross-organizational impact and is comprised of multiple departments and/or teams.

  • Establishes policies appropriate for the function. Interprets and recommends modifications to enterprise-wide policies and practices. Adapts and executes functional business plans and contributes to the development of functional strategies. Responsible for efficient utilization of significant resources within the function.

  • Objectives are defined in collaboration with senior management and results assessed with a long-term perspective. Decisions are guided by functional strategy and priorities.

  • Collaborates with senior management and others concerning matters of significance to the company. Routinely conducts briefings for senior management and/or key external contacts. Influences senior management or customers/clients.

  • Decisions likely have serious impact on the overall success or failure of a function. Erroneous decisions or recommendations result in critical delays or modifications to company objectives and cause long-term harm to business operations.

Work Experience:

  • Typically 10+ years including 5+ years of management experience

Education and Certification(s):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

  • Certified in Lean 6 sigma (Preferred)
  • SAP knowledge(Preferred)
