IT Department
The Enterprise Technology organization operates as part of the IT function, alongside AI, Cybersecurity, Process & Governance, and Enterprise Strategy & Delivery. The Enterprise Technology function delivers foundational services across Infrastructure, Network, Service Desk, and IT Service Delivery, operating as an integrated system rather than siloed teams.
In APAC, Enterprise Technology serves as the regional execution arm of the global IT organization, balancing global standardization with regional responsiveness.
Position Overview
The Director, Enterprise Technology, APAC serves as the regional leadership anchor for all IT operations across Asia Pacific, accountable for delivering reliable, scalable, and standardized IT services aligned to global frameworks while enabling rapid regional growth.
This is a hands-on operational leadership role with strategic impact, responsible for establishing a mature, self-sustaining IT function that evolves from foundational capability to autonomous regional execution over a multi-year horizon.
The Director will:
Lead regional execution across Infrastructure, Network, and Service Desk functions
Coordinate a matrixed operating model, with functional managers aligned to global teams
Act as the primary escalation and engagement point for APAC business leadership
Drive operational excellence, service maturity, and scalability aligned to APAC growth ambitions
The role requires strong cross-functional partnership across global IT, AI, Cybersecurity, Construction, Operations and business stakeholders to deliver integrated outcomes.
Essential Job Functions
1. Regional IT Leadership & Operations
Lead day-to-day IT operations across APAC, ensuring high availability, service consistency, and SLA adherence
Establish regional operational cadence, KPIs, and performance reporting aligned to global standards
Serve as the primary escalation point for regional incidents, risks, and service disruptions
Drive regional accountability for incident response, problem management, and continuous improvement
Aligned to plan requirements for formalized incident management and service discipline in APAC.
2. Organizational Build & Capability Development
Build and scale the APAC Enterprise Technology organization from a distributed team into a fully staffed, multi-country capability
Lead hiring, onboarding, and development of Infrastructure, Network, and Service Desk teams
Ensure elimination of single points of failure and achieve sufficient regional coverage depth
Supports the strategy to move from a small team to a mature, multi-role organization with functional leadership.
3. Matrix Leadership & Global Alignment
Lead regional coordination of functional managers while maintaining alignment with global IT leadership
Enforce adoption of global standards, reference architectures, and operating frameworks across APAC sites
Provide APAC input into global roadmaps, architecture decisions, and operational practices
Reflects the matrix structure where APAC managers report regionally and to global functional leaders.
4. Regional Scalability & Site Expansion Enablement
Ensure IT readiness for new data center construction, expansion, and market entry
Establish repeatable playbooks for site activation, deployment, and operational handover
Partner with construction and delivery teams to embed IT requirements into project lifecycle
Aligned to APAC growth (multi-country expansion, >1GW capacity pipeline) and need for standardized deployment capability.
5. Service Excellence & Business Partnership
Drive transition from reactive support to a proactive, business-aligned IT partner
Establish customer satisfaction measurement (CSAT) and improvement programs
Lead stakeholder engagement with regional leadership, providing transparency and trust
Supports strategic pillar of service excellence and visible business value delivery.
6. IT Service Management & Operational Maturity
Advance ITIL maturity including incident, problem, change, and service level management
Ensure accurate CMDB, service catalog development, and performance dashboards
Drive implementation of structured processes supporting operational scale
Aligned to FY2027 introduction of Incident Manager and IT Service Management roles.
7. Vendor & Financial Management
Manage regional vendor relationships aligned to global sourcing strategies
Optimize spend through enterprise agreements and regional procurement efficiency
Contribute to CIO-level financial tracking and value-based investment decisions
8. Culture & Team Leadership
Build a high-performing, collaborative regional culture aligned to Vantage values
Foster cross-functional teamwork across Infrastructure, Network, Service Desk, and Construction
Establish communication rhythms that connect regional teams to global IT
Supports emphasis on culture as a scaling enabler in APAC growth.
Job Requirements
10–12+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or service delivery roles in enterprise or data center environments
5+ years of leadership experience managing distributed or regional IT teams
Proven experience scaling IT operations across multiple countries or geographic regions
Strong foundation in ITIL processes, service management, and operational governance
Experience with data center infrastructure, networking, and end-user support environments
Demonstrated ability to operate in a matrixed global organization
Experience supporting new site builds, expansions, or large-scale deployments preferred
