Why Join
Protecting our customers' assets and data is at the heart of everything we do at OCBC. As a Cyber Engineering - Risk professional, you'll play a critical role in safeguarding our systems and networks from cyber threats. You'll be part of a team that's shaping the future of cybersecurity in the financial industry.
How you succeed

We are seeking a senior cybersecurity engineering leader with demonstrated hands‑on experience applying AI to real‑world security engineering challenges within financial services or similarly regulated environments. This role is responsible for using AI, advanced analytics, and automation to improve how cybersecurity capabilities are engineered, integrated, governed, and continuously enhanced across the organisation.

The position will build and lead a dedicated cybersecurity data and engineering enablement function, with a strong emphasis on AI‑enabled capability design, automation‑by‑design operating models, and data‑driven visibility. The function ensures security telemetry is intentionally designed, selectively onboarded, and optimised for visibility, reporting, and long‑term lifecycle use, supporting consistent governance outcomes and executive‑level decision making at enterprise scale.

This role works closely with CTS leadership, Risk, Audit, Infrastructure teams, and cyber defence programme leadership to ensure new security capabilities transition smoothly from design and onboarding into sustainable Day‑2 operations, with data, automation, and clear operating models established from the outset.

What you do

  • Lead the application of AI‑enabled approaches across cybersecurity engineering, including capability design, data correlation, reporting, prioritisation, and insight generation.

  • Define and deliver hands‑on, production‑grade AI use cases that reduce manual effort, improve scalability, and enhance the quality of security capability management.

  • Support the internal development and enhancement of security tooling using in‑house AI capabilities, ensuring solutions are measurable, sustainable, and operationally consumable.

  • Translate emerging AI technologies into engineering solutions with clear ownership, value, and lifecycle considerations.

  • Build and lead a cybersecurity engineering and data enablement team focused on automation, visibility, and lifecycle support of security capabilities.

  • Act as a senior technical authority on how security telemetry is structured, integrated, governed, and consumed across enterprise platforms.

  • Establish scalable engineering approaches that reduce duplication, noise, and long‑term operational overhead.

  • Participate early in new capability design and evaluation phases to shape telemetry requirements, data integration models, and visibility outcomes ahead of formal onboarding.

  • Enable automation‑by‑design operating models that reduce manual effort in reporting, compliance, and governance workflows.

  • Provide data‑driven insights that support prioritisation, capability health monitoring, and informed decision making.

  • Define and sustain data‑driven KRIs, control‑effectiveness indicators, and risk prioritisation metrics generated directly from engineered data sources.

  • Embed evidence‑by‑design principles so that audit and regulatory artefacts are produced continuously and consistently as part of normal operations.

  • Partner with Risk and Audit teams to ensure data outputs remain aligned with evolving governance and regulatory expectations.

Who you are

  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, security data engineering, analytics, or related disciplines.

  • Demonstrated experience designing and operating data foundations that support security capability visibility and automation.

  • Strong experience applying advanced analytics or AI techniques to real‑world engineering and governance challenges.

  • Proven ability to work across multiple teams to bridge security design, capability onboarding, and steady‑state operations.

  • Experience building or leading technical teams and influencing operating models across complex organisations.

  • Experience working in regulated environments and engaging with audit and risk stakeholders is preferred.
