As a Compliance Officer, Vice President in our Taiwan team, you will provide compliance support to various lines of business and corporate functions. You will be instrumental in identifying compliance risks, handling regulatory queries, and ensuring adherence to applicable regulations. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining our reputation for excellence and integrity in the financial industry.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide compliance advice to lines of business for Cash Equities, Futures and Options, and Underwriting business.
- Handle regulatory queries, audits, investigations, and reporting.
- Identify regulation/compliance risks and follow up on control mechanisms.
- Perform due diligence reviews and assessments for new business projects.
- Interface with regulators and industry associations.
- Cover core compliance matters for business and corporate functions.
- Deliver compliance training to the business.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and assist in regional compliance projects.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- University degree or above in finance, accounting, legal, or related discipline.
- 7 years of experience in the financial industry.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory structures and applicable regulations in Taiwan.
- Understanding of Cash Equities, Futures and Options, and Underwriting business and products.
- Strong client focus and ability to develop productive partnerships.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to manage priorities independently.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin, both written and verbal.
- Initiative in identifying compliance risks and implementing solutions.
- Business acumen and strategic thinking.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience in compliance within the financial industry.
- Familiarity with Cash Equities, Futures and Options, and Underwriting business.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
