Job Description:

   

The Category management function defines and manages the product offering, positioning, and pricing for infrastructure lifecycle services portfolio. They are responsible to plan the business objective for the portfolio and to achieve this plan through on going adjustments of the product related decisions.

Work with direct/indirect sales teams to for portfolio awareness, sales enablement and develop pipeline. Acts as the lead expert in competition product knowledge in all dimensions (product knowledge, pricing, marketing, customer requirements). Provide pre-sales support the sales teams to size up services effort, provide statement of work and pricing to the sales teams. These jobs focus on selling to customers, typically through work that occurs outside HPE offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Participates in business planning on the portfolio with manager.
  • Works with and leverages internal partners/sales teams to deliver the business results.
  • May interface with any level in sales organization.
  • Product line and quota responsibility limited to a low complexity/low impact part of the business.
  • Work with sales to understand customer requirements for lifecycle services
  • Provides presales and quotation support to the sales team

Education and Experience Required:

  • University or Bachelor's degree preferred in Information Technology related discipline
  • Typically 2-5 years of professional experience in a related field.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • IT industry knowledge.
  • Business planning skills.
  • Financial planning and modelling skills, comfortable to manage business planning and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of promotional marketing processes and practices.
