Company Overview

Ambiq is on a mission to enable intelligence everywhere — powering the AI edge revolution with the world's lowest-power semiconductor solutions.

Built on our proprietary sub- and near-threshold technology, our chips deliver multi-fold improvements in energy efficiency without costly process scaling. Since 2010, we've shipped over 300 million units to customers building smarter wearables, medical devices, IoT products, and AI-powered edge applications.

Our cross-functional teams span design, research, development, production, marketing, sales, and operations across Austin, Hsinchu, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Singapore. We move fast, tackle hard problems, and create space for people to grow through complex, meaningful work that shapes the future of technology.

We're looking for self-motivated, creative problem-solvers who are eager to push technological limits and make a real impact in energy efficiency.

At Ambiq, we live by five values: Innovate. Collaborate. Focus. Learn. Achieve.

If that's you, join us — the intelligence everywhere revolution starts here.

Scope

We are seeking a talented Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to join our team in Singapore. In this role, you will provide technical expertise in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and embedded systems to support customers throughout their product development lifecycle. You will work closely with customers and internal R&D teams to deliver high-quality solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive successful product implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive Schematic & Layout Reviews to identify design flaws in power delivery networks, signal integrity, and RF/antenna paths.
  • Lead the integration of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) stacks, including GATT profile development and power consumption optimization.
  • Guide customers through RTOS & Driver Integration (e.g., Zephyr, FreeRTOS) and peripheral interfacing (I2C, SPI, UART, MIPI).
  • Perform root-cause analysis on complex hardware/software bugs using Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, and BLE Sniffers (e.g., Ellisys, Teledyne LeCroy).
  • Analyze system logs and protocol timing to resolve intermittent connectivity or stability issues.
  • Support customers through critical hardware validation phases (EVT, DVT, and PVT) to ensure a smooth transition to mass production.
  • Collaborate across time zones with offshore R&D teams (e.g., in Taiwan or the US) to resolve high-priority technical bottlenecks.
  • Deliver technical training and product demonstrations to customer engineering teams.
  • Proactively suggest design optimizations to improve system performance and reduce time-to-market.
  • Drive the success of high-impact projects across Singapore, South Asia (including India, Vietnam), and Australia and overseas travel (South Asia and Australia) is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts fluently in a professional business environment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting ARM Cortex-M based MCUs and embedded firmware.
  • Proven track record in the semiconductor, IoT, or wearable electronics industries.
  • Proven experience with BLE protocols and wireless debugging.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with wireless certification processes, including SIG (BQB) certification, FCC/CE/NCC regulatory testing,
  • Experience in antenna tuning and performing link budget analysis to optimize range and power consumption.
