We’re looking for a talented Business Analyst to join our Global Sales team, where your insights will directly impact pricing strategies, revenue growth, and tender success across our Ships Agency business.
In Wilhelmsen Port Services, we provide our customers with piece of mind while we handle their cargo, their vessels and their crew. We handle 75,000 port calls per year, which means that every 7 minutes, anywhere around the world, we send a ship safely out to sea again to fulfil its purpose. We match local expertise with strict global standards, making sure we consistently make our customers’ port calls as efficient and safe as possible.
This position reports to the Global Sales Director.
What You’ll Be Doing
Gather and monitor competitor pricing insights from global teams
Manage our end-to-end pricing optimization tool—projecting agency revenue, profitability, peer and competitor benchmarks, scenario testing, and financial exposure
Lead CPQ pricing governance and support pricing corridors for our full product and service portfolio
Support the development of profitable, segment-specific pricing models
Collaborate with the Tender & Contract team on pricing strategies for large deals
Use data to drive smarter decisions and advocate for pricing excellence across the organization
Explore and test predictive pricing tools to support spot call pricing
Help shape a pricing-centric mindset by training and coaching sales professionals
Who you are:
Experience from the marine industry, preferably ships agency operations
Ability to work independently and systematically
Able to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities
Ability and aptitude to learn is a must
Training can be provided to bring the candidate up to speed with the requisite knowledge to perform the job
What We’re Looking For
A degree in business, engineering, economics, or a related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role (maritime industry is a plus)
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
High proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
Python programming knowledge for data modeling and analysis
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to thrive under pressure, manage deadlines, and own your workstream
Excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written)
Collaborative mindset and cultural awareness to work effectively across global teams
