Purpose of role

The role is responsible for supporting the coverage and development of allocated Sponsor clients across Asia, partnering closely with senior coverage bankers to drive coordinated client engagement, transaction execution and revenue growth. The position requires proactive portfolio oversight, strong analytical capability and effective coordination across product teams.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Support coverage of allocated sponsor clients across Asia, developing a strong understanding of sponsor strategy, portfolio activity and transaction pipelines.
  • Contribute to execution of account plans and identification of cross-product opportunities in partnership with senior coverage bankers.
  • Maintain up to date awareness of sponsor portfolio developments and market dynamics to enable proactive client engagement.

Financial

  • Conduct financial analysis of sponsor portfolios and transaction opportunities, including review of financial statements and credit metrics.
  • Assist in tracking pipeline activity, revenue performance and client engagement metrics.
  • Support preparation of periodic business / fund and performance updates.

Client

  • Prepare high-quality client materials, briefing memorandums and presentation for internal and external meetings.
  • Participation in client interactions where appropriate and ensure timely follow-up on agreed actions.
  • Coordinate with product teams to support delivery of relevant and commercial aligned client solutions.

People

  • Build effective working relationships across coverage and product teams
  • Demonstrate initiative and accountability in managing allocated responsibilities.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, attention to detail and responsiveness.

Other/ Control

  • Ensure documentation, reporting and internal systems are maintained accurately and on a timely basis
  • Adhere to Risk and Compliance requirements and support a disciplined control environment, resulting in zero regulatory or compliance breaches.                                                               

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrates strong ownership mindset, initiative and ability to operate independently with limited supervision.
  • Minimum Degree in Business or Commerce or Finance.
  • Master of Finance, MBA or CFA will be considered favourably.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in banking or investment banking.
  • Strong financial analysis skills, including ability to review financial statements and assess transaction dynamics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including financial modelling) and Powerpoint.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple workstreams concurrently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
