Job Description

Job Summary

As a Payment System Analyst at United Overseas Bank Ltd, you will be instrumental in optimizing and maintaining our critical payment systems. You will play a key role in analyzing system performance, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring the seamless operation of our payment infrastructure to support the bank's diverse financial services.
Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of payment system performance, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and potential risks.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot payment system incidents, providing timely resolution and escalation as required.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement enhancements to payment systems.

  • Participate in the testing and deployment of new payment system features, upgrades, and integrations.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for payment system processes, configurations, and incident management procedures.

  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and propose preventative measures.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the payment landscape.

  • Assist in the development and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans for payment systems.

  • Provide support and training to end-users on payment system functionalities.

  • Contribute to project planning and execution for payment system initiatives.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related quantitative field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in payment systems analysis, support, or operations within the banking or financial services industry.

  • Strong understanding of various payment schemes (e.g., SWIFT, FAST, GIRO, RTGS) and their operational flows.

  • Proficiency in analyzing complex data sets and generating insightful reports.

  • Experience with SQL for data querying and analysis.

  • Familiarity with system monitoring tools and incident management processes.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
