We are seeking a talented individual to join our Marine team at Marsh Risk. This role will be based in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As Vice President, Marine, you will act as a trusted advisor to shipowner clients across Asia, partnering closely with them to understand their risk strategies and deliver effective marine insurance solutions. You will be part of a specialty marine team, with strong opportunities for professional development, client exposure, and regional travel across South East Asia.
We will count on you to:
- Act as lead advisory colleague to shipowners of various size, including some of the largest fleets in Asia.
- Develop an understanding of the clients’ business strategic priorities, risk strategies and risk management needs and provides advice accordingly to successfully serve clients.
- Utilize risk expertise and knowledge of industry and insurance market place to review clients’ exposures and loss experience and develop solutions for standard client needs.
- Execute renewal/placement strategies in in accordance with client instructions.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, and is the primary point of contact for day-to-day service needs.
- Assist in the mentorship and training of more junior colleagues in the team.
What you need to have:
- Degree in any discipline.
- At least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in insurance industry.
- Relevant specialty experience in marine hull, P&I preferred.
- Attained minimum Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) or equivalent. ANZIIF or ACII will be an advantage.
