As a Trading Operations Specialist at OCBC, you'll be at the heart of our trading operations, ensuring seamless execution and settlement of trades. You'll work closely with our traders, sales teams, and other stakeholders to provide top-notch support and drive business growth. It's a challenging and rewarding role that requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication.
How you succeed
The incumbent will be responsible for Management and Ownership of the services provided by the sub team. The role involves working closely with Front Office, Trading Desks, Settlements, counterparties and Technology in managing the bank’s risk and deliveries relating to the supported product classes. These combined, the incumbent should be able to contribute significantly in a team setting, apply critical thinking to problem solving and excel under stressful conditions.
What you do

  • Own and govern the Control Framework of the team (eg. EOD checklist, incident management, timely breaks management, etc)

  • review and implement new business processes into the team

  • Own and govern the processes are executed in line with the SOPs of the Team and ensure Team Members understand their roles

  • Own and govern the client delivery framework and ensure team members understand the Client Experience and how they impact it

  • Own the exceptions and escalations in the team and facilitate completion when necessary

  • ad hoc tasks as assigned by Line Manager

  • face off to the internal and external counterparties (eg. audit, compliance, market heads, brokers, custodians/agents, etc)

  • Manage the welfare of the employees in line with the Employee Value Proposition

Who you are

  • Minimum of 6 or more years in a similar position

  • Experience working with stakeholders within the bank (Finance/ Traders/ Risk etc)

  • Good market and product knowledge

  • Proficient in settlement system and tools such as SWIFT, TLM, TEMENOS, Microsoft office suites is a plus
