As a Technical Program Manager at DayOne, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your program management expertise. You plan requirements with internal cross-functional team and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to delivery team and management. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in design developments with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

Position Summary

The Technical Program Management, Assistant Director is responsible for the program management of new and existing project development. You will play an integral role in the development and implementation of the new data center infrastructure and be responsible for delivering successful projects from initial stage to ready for service stage. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Onsite support and guidance for delivery team including operation, consultants, suppliers, contractors for items related to testing and commissioning and ensure deliverables are aligned with business 
  • Risk management with delivery team and ensure project are delivered timely, aligned with business 
  • Schedule and work sequence planning guidance for delivery team and integration with readiness from procurement ~ construction ~ T&C ~ Operation 
  • Support execution team on resolution onsite, including how to sequence works for abortive works avoidance and risk mitigation. 
  • Provide guidance to procurement team on tracking of LLE delivery and ensuring delivery on site condition will be tie-in with modular initiative and testing & commissioning requirements 
  • Support and providing guidance to procurement team on partners, vendors, contractors’ selection 
  • Investigate and recommend work method (construction technology) that can enhance quality / safety / speed 
  • Provide guidance on integration of design team with construction / T&C and operation team for seamless delivery. Include resolution recommendation on issues identify on site 
  • Enhance on quality for design, construction and handover condition 
  • Support and collaborate with design / construction team on innovative construction methodology for DfMA and prefab initiative that ties in with testing and commissioning requirements
  • Responsible for front end planning, supporting Resource and Sales team as required delivery alignment with target clients and as needed. 

Requirements

  • 10 years of delivery experience, including management and preferably with Data Center delivery experience 
  • Construction related qualification, preferably with construction / project management background  
  • Project management tools capability, including Microsoft project

Technical Expertise:

  • Knowledge of cooling system – Data Hall Cooling Infra setup including Hot-aisle containment, Airflow monitoring system, cooling engine, Integrate with BMS/PMS monitoring and Water Detection system setup.

  • Knowledge of power system - Data Hall power to the cooling infra system, power to UPS/ PMDC and busduct & TOU/MTS (power supply to racks), Integrate with BMS/PMS monitoring, temperature/lighting sensors.

  • Knowledge of networking system - ISP/OSP from IDF, CCNR, SSNR rooms to Data Hall, Power system at CCNR/SSNR, UPS/DB Board, Busduct, MTS/TOU. Colling system for Media room AHU / CDU supporting CCNR/SSNR, AP/Wifi network, GPS Antenna, Walkie Talkie Antenna supporting Media room / Server Hall.

  • Knowledge of security system - the Door Access, CCTV monitoring, and rack door sensor for critical rack.

  • Knowledge of Data Hall rooms handover requirement including cleaning, floor finishing standards

  • Knowledge of network & security systems commissioning and QAQC

  • Knowledge of planning and program managing the deployment of fitout materials procurement and integrating this with overall master construction schedule

  • Understanding cluster fitout scope requirement, leading client and client internal team for an overall planning alignment, enabling an overall planning schedule to be integrated to the overall master construction schedule for RFS completion.
