Tax Manager, APACAbout the role:
The APAC Tax Manager will handle all aspects of direct and indirect tax for Fiserv’s affiliates in the region. This will include regional oversight of tax returns, the quarterly / annual global tax provision process, withholding tax matters and indirect tax.
You will join a global in-house tax team and be involved in a wide variety of projects around compliance, tax provisioning, group restructures, financing and process improvement.
What you’ll do:
- Coordinate and ensure that all tax related matters are accounted for and correctly reported for U.S. and foreign (non-U.S.) financial and statutory reporting purposes.
- Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and deferred tax reporting to Management
- Prepare tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain Fiserv’s tax provision database.
- Review of corporate tax returns prepared by external advisers
- Assist on M&A projects, transactions and planning initiatives as required
- Assist with management of tax audits around APAC, including liaising with local advisers as required,
- Monitor tax law changes around APAC and assess impact on tax provision and the business
- Assist in the review of and implementation of tax processes to increase efficiency
- Assist in strategic initiatives working as part of a cross functional team
- Assist in new processes and system implementation when required
Experience you’ll need to have:
- BS equivalent degree in Finance, Tax, Accounting and/or related field.
- 10 years of tax experience – preferably in Big 4 Accounting Firm or U.S. based multi-national corporation.
- Firm grasp of U.S. tax accounting concepts and financial reporting implications.
- Ability to coordinate and manage interactions with local and regional Accounting, Finance and Treasury teams as well as the Corporate Tax function in the U.S.
- Mandarin language proficiency is a plus.
