Overview of Role

The intern will get the opportunity to understand how commodity trading industry works and how tax plays an important function in various processes in the company. You will also have the opportunity to learn and work from professionals in an international environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deepen your foundation in Singapore tax regime

  • Exposure to other taxes around the region and how it matters to the company

  • Support in review transactions to ensure correct tax treatments are applied

  • Support in preparation of various tax returns, computations and tax reports

  • Support in indirect tax analysis

  • Assisting in drafting tax processes or procedures

  • Opportunities to be involved in tax project

Profile

The individual should have the following experience but not mandatory:

  • Pursuing university degree related to Finance, or Accountancy with basic tax background

  • Desire to learn about accounting or taxation

  • Excellent communication and business writing skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to details

  • Strong skillset in Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI

  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies

  • Candidates must be available for a standard 5-day work week for the full 6-month duration of the internship
