Job Summary

The role is within Supply Chain organization with worldwide business responsibility (contract manufacturer management). Strategic Supplier Manager is responsible for managing strategic relationships with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure supply, cost competitiveness, quality and compliance. This role acts as the key interface between internal stakeholders and external partners, supporting both ongoing operations and NPI (New Product Introduction) programs to achieve time-to-market objectives.

 

Job responsibilities and duties:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers
  • Has overall ownership for supplier relationship and escalation management
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships to ensure alignment on demand, capacity, quality and delivery expectations
  • Lead regular business reviews with suppliers to track performance and address issues
  • Own and drive cost reduction, cost avoidance and productivity initiatives, including NPI cost targets and cost alignment
  • Manage contract agreements to ensure commercial, operational and compliance requirements are met, supporting NPI activities, supply continuity and time-to-market objective
  • Participates in global supply chain activities
  • Identify, assess and mitigate supplier risks including development and execution of business continuity plans to ensure uninterrupted supply
  • Manage supplier activities during product transitions to ensure smooth rollover, readiness and continuity of supply
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ related working experience in procurement/supply chain and/or manufacturing in Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) preferred
  • Passion to win, Strong ownership and drive for results with high level of urgency
  • Good communication skills
  • Good negotiation skills, able to drive win-win solutions
  • Demonstrated to be a good team player
  • Experience in contracts and cost negotiations
