About Airwallex

Airwallex is the AI-native financial operating system for a real-time, intelligent economy. More than 676,000 businesses, including McLaren Racing, Qantas, SHEIN, and TikTok, use us, directly or through our platform partners, to run their financial operations or build and monetize financial products of their own.

We started in Melbourne in 2015 to build the infrastructure global commerce runs on. We're the regulated backbone behind global payments: not by accident, but by design. A decade plus, 85+ licenses, and a financial infrastructure spanning North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.

We're co-headquartered in San Francisco and Singapore, with more than 2,300 people across 27 offices. We hire builders with founder-level energy, people who move fast with good judgment, dig in with real curiosity, and make calls from first principles rather than waiting to be told what to do. Read our operating principles to see it in full.

About the Team

The Product team at Airwallex is a group of passionate builders and problem-solvers who are obsessed with crafting customer-centric solutions that empower businesses to operate anywhere, anytime. We combine deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of regulatory and operational requirements to design and build unified, scalable, and compliant financial products. As a team, we thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, constantly iterating and raising the bar to deliver best-in-class product experiences.

What You’ll Do

As Senior Product Manager, Regulatory Reporting, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution of our regulatory reporting capabilities across multiple jurisdictions. You will ensure our platform meets evolving regulatory obligations while building scalable, automated, and data-driven reporting infrastructure.

You will work closely with Compliance, Risk, Finance, Data, Engineering, and regional stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into robust product solutions. This role requires strong analytical capability, hands-on comfort with data (including advanced SQL skills), and the ability to balance regulatory precision with scalable product thinking.

Responsibilities
  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for regulatory reporting across key markets

  • Translate complex regulatory requirements into clear product specifications and scalable system designs

  • Partner with Compliance and Legal teams to proactively anticipate regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to design and build automated, accurate, and audit-ready reporting pipelines

  • Leverage SQL and data analysis to validate reporting logic, investigate discrepancies, and ensure data integrity

  • Define reporting data models, governance standards, and reconciliation frameworks

  • Drive process automation to reduce manual operational overhead and improve reporting accuracy

  • Establish success metrics, monitor reporting performance, and continuously improve reliability and scalability

  • Act as the key product point of contact during regulatory audits and reviews

Who You Are

We’re looking for candidates who meet the minimum qualifications below. Preferred qualifications are a plus but not mandatory.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5–10 years of professional experience, with significant experience in Product Management

  • Proven experience owning complex, data-intensive products end-to-end (from ideation to global delivery)

  • Strong domain knowledge in regulatory reporting, financial reporting, compliance systems, or fintech infrastructure

  • Advanced SQL skills (mandatory) with the ability to independently query large datasets, validate reporting outputs, and troubleshoot data issues

  • Strong analytical mindset with deep attention to detail and data accuracy

  • Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Compliance, Risk, and Finance teams

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate regulatory and technical concepts for diverse audiences

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with strong academic achievements

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in fintech, payments, banking, or financial services

  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks across APAC, EMEA, or the US

  • Experience building scalable data platforms or working closely with data engineering teams

  • Background in hyper-growth startup environments

  • Technical foundation (e.g., software engineering, data analytics, or information systems)

This is a high-impact role at the intersection of product, data, and regulation. You will play a critical part in ensuring our infrastructure remains compliant, scalable, and future-proof as we expand globally.
