Introduction

The MTS Test Equipment & Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining test equipment and process capabilities to meet manufacturing, quality, and operational goals. Based in Singapore, this role serves as a senior technical contributor and team lead, providing technical direction, mentoring engineers, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across operations and the supply base. The role plays a key part in ensuring robust test coverage, product reliability, and compliance with safety and industry standards.

Responsibilities

Develop, optimize and sustain Test Equipment & Process capability to meet operations goals.

Typically performs one or more of the following in capacity of either an individual contributor (as directed and/or independently), or as a manager:

  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure that the products are free of flaws and function as designed

  • Designs and installs sophisticated testing equipment and performs product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates

  • Analyzes reports and defective products to determine trends and recommend corrective actions

  • Collaborates with supplier representatives on quality problems, ensures that effective corrective actions are implemented and contributes to supplier quality improvement programs

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements

  • Work and collaborate other projects and/or assignments as needed.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; Master’s Degree is an added advantage.

  • 6–10 years of relevant experience in test engineering, process engineering, or manufacturing engineering within a high-tech or regulated environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects and act as a subject matter expert without direct authority.

  • Strong expertise in test equipment design, process control, data analysis, and failure analysis methodologies.

  • Proven experience mentoring engineers and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Hands-on experience collaborating with suppliers and driving supplier quality and process improvements.

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
