We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Summary:

The Global Strategic Pricing team has a broad mandate to guide monetization and pricing strategy across PayPal and establish pricing as a strategic business lever. We support and advise senior executives in finance, product and sales on pricing and monetization strategies across our products and services, globally. Successful candidates will require a strategic perspective, sound business judgment, deep analytical capabilities, and a collaborative working style. Key to success in this role is to be an individual contributor with the ability to juggle multiple projects with high impact and visibility.
Typical effort revolves around devising (or revising) product pricing in close collaboration with a cross functional team, preparing materials on pricing initiatives for executive discussions, securing alignments with key business stakeholders, supporting execution of Pricing strategy initiatives and working with analytics to ensure reporting and tracking performance.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to influence the quality and efficiency of pricing processes.
  • Analyze pricing data and market trends to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Oversee team performance and prioritize work to ensure timely completion of pricing initiatives.
  • Develop reports and presentations to communicate pricing strategies and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Explore alternative solutions to pricing challenges and recommend appropriate actions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • You will own the narrative for all pricing strategy conversations, acting as an advisor/subject matter expert to senior executives across product, finance, sales on all pricing strategy matters.

  • You will also be responsible for the execution of the pricing initiatives, collaborating with multiple cross-functional stakeholders.

In your day-to-day role you will:

  • Work with key business stakeholders, to advise/drive pricing strategy for various products, catering to diverse segments across multiple Geos

  • Collaborate extensively with various cross-functional teams to drive the execution for various pricing strategy initiatives

  • Support various pricing initiatives in motion across different product/segments/geos

What do you need to bring:

  • World class strategic and analytical thinking, with a demonstrated ability to synthesize multiple sources of information (quantitative and qualitative) to solve complex problems in a structured, data-driven way

  • Superior communications (verbal, written, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to handle multiple complex projects at the same time

  • Strong data analysis and quantitative modeling skills

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years relevant work experience

  • Prior experience in strategy/quantitative modeling/pricing roles will be helpful

  • Strong data analysis and quantitative modeling skills, along with a strategic perspective, sound business judgment, and a collaborative working style

  • Experience in financial services (particularly payments), technology and/or e-commerce will be helpful

  • Ability to handle multiple complex projects at the same time
