We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Specialist to join our APAC Middle office team. This role is in Singapore.In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:- Oversee the monitoring, analysis, and processing of a diverse range of corporate actions, including dividends, mergers and acquisitions, stock splits, rights issues, spin-offs, tender offers, and other related events.
- Review and validate corporate action notifications received from custodians, depositories, and issuers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely processing.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments such as operations, compliance, legal, and finance, as well as external stakeholders including custodians, brokers, and clients, to resolve discrepancies and facilitate smooth execution of corporate actions.
- Evaluate the impact of corporate actions on client portfolios, preparing detailed reports and providing actionable recommendations.
- Maintain and update corporate action databases and systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity at all times.
- Identify, assess, and escalate potential risks or issues arising during corporate actions processing to mitigate operational impact.
- Support audit and compliance initiatives by supplying required documentation and clarifications promptly.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts, promoting best practices and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Stay informed on regulatory developments and evolving market practices related to corporate actions to ensure ongoing compliance and operational excellence.
- Engage regularly with clients to offer expert consultation and resolve complex inquiries and transactions related to corporate actions.
- Regularly interacts with clients in providing consultation and resolving complex inquiries and transactions. No direct reports. Provides guidance to less experienced Middle Office staff as needed.
- Contribute actively to team goals and drive operational efficiency through the effective use of digital tools and process improvements.
Bachelors degree in finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
1-3 years of total relevant work experience preferred
