Job Summary

The Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting the Compliance function by ensuring the company adheres to all data center related corporate compliance requirements, industry standards, and internal policies. The job will involve designing, implementation, and monitoring compliance risk and administering compliance management frameworks/policies & procedures, along with fostering a culture of ethics and integrity across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Policy and Procedures Development/Management: Review, draft new, update, and disseminate policies, procedures, desk instructions. Monitoring relevant policy areas (e.g. gifts & hospitality, related party transactions, personal account dealing/insider trading).
  • Screening & Monitoring: Manage the S&M process (in conjunction with the Onboarding teams) and perform screening, monitoring and tracking of (high risk) vendors and customers.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct routine compliance risk assessments to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions. Maintain compliance risk assessments/dashboards (for potential management and/or Board related updates)
  • Regulatory/Requirements Monitoring: Track and analyze new and evolving local and international laws affecting the business. Support affected business units in implementation of such key requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Training: Develop and deliver engaging compliance training programs for employees and management. Carry out periodic training for key policies (e.g. annual Conflicts of Interest training and attestations) and tracking for completion.
  • Incident Management: Investigate compliance breaches, handle whistleblower reports, and liaise with regulatory bodies when necessary (including maintaining audit trails and mitigation follow-up). Manage root cause analysis leading to implementation of corrective actions.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 4–6 years of progressive experience in corporate compliance, operational/business risk management or audit roles.
  • Skills: Superior analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication abilities, organized and able to manage multiple priorities. High ethical standards and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of corporate governance, data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, PDPA), and cross-border experience across multiple jurisdictions will be advantageous.
