Meet the Team

Manufacturing Simplification & Sourcing Team is a team responsible for setting up the supply chain framework for Silicon Labs and continually improve the scalability and streamline the business processes to achieve greater efficiency. The team is also responsible for sourcing alternate suppliers with better quality and cost.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain sourcing constraints to ensure accurate demand allocation and supply planning.

  • Perform spend analysis across Suppliers, identifying cost drivers, trends, and opportunities for optimization

  • Identify and lead value added engineering (VAE) projects such as source for alternate suppliers / manufacturing sites, qualify lower alternate BOM, etc.

  • Maintain standard operating procedures applicable to the department to ensure workflow process are consistence

  • Identify and lead business process improvement and simplification projects such as streamlining and standardization of existing process to improve efficiency and lower manufacturing costs

  • Lead and coordinate sourcing activities to meet overall company objectives

  • Analyze sourcing constraints, capacity limitations, and supply-demand gaps to support operational and strategic planning activities.

  • Lead the sourcing effort including negotiation with suppliers on technical details, BOMs, processes and work with Supplier Management team to achieve optimum cost, capacity and material availability.

  • Expedite exits for non-performing products & suppliers

Qualifications/Skills you'll need:

  • University degree or higher in engineering, supply chain or related discipline.

  • Fresh Graduates with some knowledge in backend semiconductor industry may be considered

  • Experience supporting cost analysis, spend reporting, supplier performance monitoring, or sourcing operations

  • Experience in supply chain/procurement/sourcing is an added advantage

  • Understanding of supply chain planning, sourcing, and manufacturing operations

  • Ability to consolidate large datasets and translate them into actionable business insights

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Independent and motivated to drive project/issues closure and completion
