Title:

Senior Technical Advisor, Technical Risk and Safety

Reporting to the General Manager, the individual will work within the Global Consultancy team, closely collaborating with the organization’s extensive engineering, technology, and scientific resource base. The candidate will work with a team of Technical Risks and Safety experts to support Feasibility Study/Pre-FEED/FEED/Detailed Design projects in Energy Transition (Ammonia, Hydrogen, CCS, Nuclear, etc.) and traditional energy projects.

 

Job Descriptions:

Functional job responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Support safety and risk projects involving risk analysis, modeling, calculations, and other studies.

  • Perform high-quality, technically sound analyses and studies, including but not limited to Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA), risk calculations, safety assessments, cost/benefit analyses, and other studies.

  • Review safety studies developed by third parties, e.g., FERA, dispersion analysis, EERA, ESSA, dropped objects study, QRA studies, etc.

  • Participate in safety workshops (HAZIDS, HAZOPS, ALARP).

  • Innovating and develop design solutions to reduce risks, improve performance, and enhance safety in operations.

  • Produce high-quality deliverables within the scope, budget, and schedule expectations of clients.

  • Prepare Hazardous/H2S Area Classification documentation, Safety and Fire Fighting layouts, escape route and lifesaving equipment layouts, and other safety drawings.

  • Develop Safety Critical Elements performance standards, fire and gas detection mapping, etc.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering.

  • At least 7 years of experience in Technical Safety/Process Safety/Safety Engineering, with projects under various local, regional, and national regulatory standards.

  • Experience with advisory/consulting firms, with demonstrated capability to manage a team and grow the business, is an advantage.

  • Professional memberships (IChemE, AIChE) and functional and process safety certifications (TUV, CFSP/CFSE, etc.) are a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
