Role Overview

The Senior Tax Manager is responsible for leading and managing tax workstreams relating to new market entry, new projects, joint venture, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), divestments, and corporate restructuring initiatives across multiple jurisdictions in Asia, Europe and South America The role focuses on tax due diligence, transaction execution, restructuring implementation, and post-deal integration, ensuring tax risks are identified, managed, and appropriately documented in accordance with applicable tax laws and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities1.NME, New Projects, Joint ventures and M&A Tax Due Diligence & Post Deal Integration
  • Lead and manage tax due diligence processes across multiple jurisdictions in Asia, Europe and Latin America.
  • Provide technical tax input on new market entries, new projects and legal entities set up, acquisitions, disposals, and investment transactions, including SPA review
  • Work out and implement mitigation plans of tax risks and exposures identified during due diligence, in the post deal integration phase.
  • Maintain documentation of post-transaction tax positions and assumptions

2.Corporate Structuring

  • Support expansion plans and advise most appropriate legal structure in new markets/ventures for tax optimization purposes.
  • Lead tax workstreams for group structuring exercises
  • Evaluate all tax implications arising from asset transfers, share transfers, and business organisations,.
  • Support review of transaction documents to ensure tax positions are appropriately reflected and protected
  • Coordinate with legal and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of structuring and/or post deal integration initiatives
Key Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in deal advisory with regional or global exposure
  • Strong analytical capability with ability to assess tax risks and implications across jurisdictions
  • Ability to translate complex technical tax concepts into practical business and deal insights
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and strong communication skills for cross-functional projects
Qualifications
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or Law
  • Professional qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent) preferred
