Provide BAU network operations and support, manage and maintain network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, wireless, load balancers, VPN), deliver network projects and enhancements, ensure availability and security through patching and firmware upgrades, handle service requests and escalations, coordinate with vendors, maintain documentation and compliance, support audits, procurement, and standby/after-hours support as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide BAU network operations support (monitoring, troubleshooting, incident resolution)
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, wireless, load balancers, VPN)
- Support and deliver network projects and enhancements
- Monitor network performance and ensure availability and reliability
- Perform patching, firmware upgrades, and security configurations
- Handle network-related service requests and escalation
- Work with vendors and partners for issue resolution and implementation
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and asset inventory
- Ensure adherence to change management and configuration policies
- Support audit requests and maintain required artefacts
- Update security standards and baseline documents
- Participate in procurement and deployment of network solutions
- Provide standby support when required
Requirements Experience & Skills
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in network and security infrastructure
- Strong knowledge in:
- Firewall (e.g. Palo Alto)
- Switching and routing
- Wireless and NAC (e.g. Aruba, ClearPass)
- VPN and remote access
- Load balancers (e.g. F5, Alteon)
- Exposure to SD-WAN, VXLAN, and cloud (AWS) preferred
- Experience in network project delivery and operations
Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNP/CCIE) preferred
- Additional certifications (e.g. Network+, CISSP) are an advantage
