Lead manufacturing engineering for new product development and introduction, designing processes, estimating costs, specifying tooling, and maintaining production records. Manage and coach a team, drive continuous improvement to reduce waste and cost, and ensure fluid/gas component assembly integrity.
The Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager will support new product development, new product
introduction and cost out designing for existing product lines through sound execution of engineering
principles and processes. A high level of ‘hands-on” technical capability and sound engineering principles
are required to be successful in this position. The position requires fluid/ gas component assembly and
functionality knowledge, primarily in a new product development environment. Leads a team of
engineers and provide coaching and guidance. Grooms, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the
efficient operation of the function in the long sustainable manner.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture
or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. - Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products.
- Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling
and process requirements of new or existing product lines. - Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.
- Participate in the Continuous Improvement programs within the company to reduce waste, reduce
cost, reduce errors and improve productivity.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Mechanical/ Microelectronics / Chemical Process
Technology - At least 8 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Past experience leading a team is a must.
- Fluency in English Language - written & verbal
- Display pro-activeness and initiative.
- Take ownership, be accountable and able to get things done.
- Teamwork and cross-team collaboration.
