This role supports product development processes by conducting market research, managing focus groups, collaborating with stakeholders, and overseeing product launch activities and compliance.
Supports the Product Lead in the end-to-end product development process including regular reviews of the life, health and investment products and performance, makes recommendations and proposals for product initiatives, and supervise the team across product deliverables and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts market research on new product developments and prepare analysis to provide insights on the market
- Monitor market developments and trends, benchmarking and comparisons to drive and support product development and related initiatives.
- Manage and conduct focus groups with distribution/customers to test or gather feedback on product ideas and existing products.
- Responsible for drafting and updating product specifications and prepare the product presentation for the relevant Executive Committee’s evaluation and approval.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders from the product implementation workgroup (such as operations, actuarial, product marketing and distribution) to develop the product proposition, manage deliverables and resolve implementation issues.
- Responsible for drafting of new product launch training materials, relevant product materials (such as product summaries and product factsheet) as well as reviewing relevant product materials such as policy contract and brochures
- Responsible on the drafting and communication of product launch announcements.
- Responsible on any post product launch monitoring and implementation activities
- Manage and coordinate on regulatory developments and requirements where required
- Supports the product review, performance and marketing initiatives such as campaigns and relevant materials
Qualifications:
- Degree in any field
- 15 years in the insurance industry with proven experience in life and health product development, project management and team management
- Good experience and knowledge across products, pricing, regulations, market developments
- Individuals with strong insurance development/business/risk experience may also be considered
- Insurance qualifications would be advantageous
- Analytical, detailed, outcomes driven and ability to work with tight timelines
- Good understanding of market trends, innovations and business strategy
- Good ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
