Role Purpose

The Senior Manager / Manager, Strategy & Operations (18 months contract) supports the development and execution of Group-wide strategic initiatives, corporate transformation programmes and operational excellence initiatives.

Working closely with EXCO, Business Line CEOs and Corporate Functions, the role is responsible for driving strategic planning, coordinating cross-functional programmes, monitoring execution and delivering high-impact outcomes across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Business Development

  • Support the development and execution of the Group's strategic priorities and business plans.

  • Conduct market research, competitive benchmarking and strategic assessments to support decision-making.

  • Develop business cases, financial analyses and recommendations for strategic initiatives, investments and growth opportunities.

Strategy Execution & Transformation

  • Lead and support enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, including AI, portfolio optimisation, operating model transformation, productivity improvement and business performance enhancement.

  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams and monitor programme delivery.

  • Drive implementation of strategic initiatives across Business Lines and Corporate Functions.

Performance Management

  • Monitor strategic KPIs and business performance against agreed targets.

  • Develop management dashboards and reports for EXCO and the Board.

  • Identify implementation risks and recommend corrective actions to improve execution.

Corporate Governance

  • Prepare Board, EXCO and senior management papers, presentations and briefing materials.

  • Coordinate strategic reviews, workshops and governance meetings.

  • Track key decisions, action items and implementation progress.

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with Business Line CEOs, Corporate Functions and external stakeholders to deliver strategic priorities.

  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions and build alignment across the organisation.

  • Support senior leadership in driving enterprise-wide initiatives and organisational change.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics or a related discipline.

  • Manager: At least 5 years' relevant experience in Strategy, Consulting, Corporate Development, Business Transformation or Project Management.

  • Senior Manager: At least 8 years' relevant experience with demonstrated leadership in enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and transformation programmes.

  • Strong analytical, commercial and financial acumen.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong project and programme management capabilities.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple strategic priorities in a fast-paced environment.
