- Support daily laboratory operations, including sample handling, testing activities, equipment management, and quality documentation.
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory equipment, automated systems, and test fixtures.
- Perform routine maintenance and ensure equipment meets safety and regulatory requirements.
- Record, review, and maintain laboratory data and support documentation.
- Assist with laboratory planning, equipment procurement, and budget activities.
- Support validation of new or updated test methods and laboratory processes.
- Train and mentor laboratory personnel on equipment, systems, and procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and problem-solving methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to improve laboratory efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with UL policies, safety standards, and security requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate Degree, technical certification, or equivalent education in a relevant technical field.
- 3 - 5 years of laboratory operations, testing, equipment maintenance, or related technical experience.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing environments within the conformity assessment industry.
- Experience troubleshooting equipment and supporting automated test systems.
- Ability to manage changing priorities and make sound operational decisions.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Experience coaching or mentoring laboratory personnel.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
- Proficient with standard computer applications and laboratory systems.
