Job Description: 

We’re looking for a tech-savvy Senior IT System Administrator to join our team and provide IT system setup, technical support, and guidance to our employees.

The candidate is to have expertise in scripting including Google Apps Script, JQL for Workspace and JIRA automation. The role involves managing IT systems, streamlining workflows, and integrating HR management system, Google Workspace and other 3rd party systems for efficient user provisioning and access management across multiple applications.

The Senior IT System Administrator will be responsible for setting up IT system infrastructure, troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues, managing our wired and wireless office network infrastructure, and working with internal teams to ensure our IT systems are up-to-date and secure. The ideal candidate should have strong thinking and problem-solving skills and a thorough understanding of information technology, including hardware, software, and networking.

You will:
  • Develop and maintain scripts and workflows using Google Apps Script, JIRA automation, Github code, APIs, and automation tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from other departments, specially the HR department, to ideate and implement efficient IT solutions and tools for the offices.
  • Automate user provisioning on 3rd party applications and Gmail Workspace account creation triggered by the HR Management System.
  • Manage and secure Google Workspace, including user policies and configure role-based access controls and integrate application access via Google Groups.
  • Support Identity and Access Management (IAM) processes, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and privilege reviews, and licenses of all IT tools.
  • Support Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools across various operating systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot automation workflows to ensure seamless operation.
  • Manage and maintain business hardware such as laptops, AV equipment, and meeting setups, on platforms such as Teams, Zoom and Google Meet.
  • Prepare, monitor and manage quarterly IT budgets; and support procurement processes and management of IT assets.
  • Assist in drafting and maintaining IT policies, SOPs, and guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues reported by internal staff via the ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve issues (e.g., telecom, Wi-Fi hardware vendors).
  • Monitor and optimize office network performance, including security logs and network security measures.
  • Work with HR on onboarding and offboarding users, including account setup and hardware provisioning, to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Train staff on new hardware and software tools.
  • Provide support to our users, working across multiple time zones.
  • Be available for after-hours on-call support, whenever required.
You are:
  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software.
  • Experience supporting Mac, Windows, and Linux operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Workspace, JIRA, networking protocols (e.g., Ethernet, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues across various environments.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
