Lead marine underwriting and pricing for H&M and Cargo lines, manage complex/high-value risks and facultative reinsurance (inward/outward), drive business growth with brokers and clients, oversee policy administration and compliance, support digital transformation (portal development, UAT, training), maintain underwriting records and renewal schedules, provide technical guidance and training, and collaborate with actuarial teams on premiums and treaty renewals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Underwriting and pricing new and renewal H&M and Cargo business within delegated authority limits.
- Managing complex and high-value marine risks, including project cargoes, bulk cargo, pleasure craft, and bluewater vessels.
- Handling the full facultative reinsurance process (both inward and outward) in line with the company's risk appetite.
- Driving business growth by building strong relationships with brokers, intermediaries, and key clients to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Overseeing policy administration, including policy issuance, endorsements, certificates, and coordination with internal teams and clients.
- Supporting digital transformation initiatives, including marine portal development, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training intermediaries on new systems.
- Maintaining accurate underwriting records, renewal schedules, and compliance databases.
- Providing technical expertise, guidance, and training to distribution teams, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitoring outstanding premiums and collaborating with the actuarial team on reinsurance treaty renewals.
