We are seeking a competent individual with relevant local experience in compliance relating to market conduct and investigation in the insurance industry. You will play a key role in ensuring investigations are aligned with regulatory expectations, while contributing to continuous improvement of investigation processes and standards.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct investigations into market misconduct that are referred to Manulife directly or referred from external sources (e.g. MAS and FIDReC).
  • Assess cases objectively and develop clear, well-reasoned findings and recommendations, distinguishing fact from judgement.
  • Ensure investigations are properly documented, auditable, and defensible.
  • Prepare and present investigation findings to the Disciplinary Committee.
  • Support deviation hearings and communication of decisions.
  • Conduct ad-hoc reviews of emerging market misconduct indicators and provide management insights.
  • Deliver trainings on Market Conduct standards to Manulife tied-agency force.
  • Support responses to regulatory queries, audits, and inspections where required.
  • Contribute to process enhancements, automation, and standardisation of investigation workflows

Required Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in finance, business, law, or related field.
  • A minimum of 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in investigations, compliance, legal, or regulatory roles, preferably within insurance or financial services.
  • Strong background in Distribution / Market Conduct Compliance.
  • Professional qualifications such as FLMI, Diploma in Life Insurance, and completion of CMFAS Exams (M5, M9, M9A, CHI, M8, M8A).
  • Diploma in Financial Planning is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of applications, showcasing a strong tech-savvy aptitude.
  • Strong investigative mindset with attention to detail and critical thinking.
  • Demonstrate ethical and tenacious mindset.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple cases effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative attitude with a team-player mindset.
